Describe Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is simply a natural state of mind with numerous beneficial characteristics. Hypnotherapy is the application of self discovery techniques and self empowerment methods that help free you from fear based programming and assumed limitations while in a deeply relaxed state (hypnosis). This provides an experience of your natural state of calm, peace and wellbeing.

Hypnotherapy also provides access to all your inner resources, perhaps those resources you do not know you have. This helps with solving problems, and reaching important goals more easily. At the heart of the practice of hypnotherapy is the dynamic principle that “thought is creative.”

The self discovery and self empowerment techniques utilized in hypnotherapy include visualization, guided imagery, interactive guided imagery, progressive relaxation, positive suggestion therapy, age regression, parts therapy and time line therapy. All designed to support positive changes in the way a person thinks, feels and behaves or to help with the healing process of various health conditions.

Hypnosis Is Safe & Effective

We frequently drift into this hypnotic, relaxed state daily without noticing such as while daydreaming, reading a book or just before falling asleep. For those who practice meditation, this feels familiar to a meditative state.

The state of hypnosis can be achieved either by oneself called self hypnosis or with the assistance of someone trained in the art of hypnotherapy. Hypnosis offers an effective, safe, natural and relaxing choice for resolving personal issues while promoting positive changes, health and wellbeing within your life.

Hypnosis History

Hypnosis has been used for thousands of years, the term “hypnosis” was coined in 1841 by the Scottish physician Dr. James Braid using the Greek word “hupnos” which means “sleep.” This however is not an accurate description of hypnosis because you are not asleep.

In actuality you are in a focused state of awareness. Braid referred to it as a “concentration of the mind” whereby the subconscious mind is receptive to suggestions and the conscious mind is in a quiet state, while the body is relaxed.

The Greek physician Hippocrates referred to as the “father of medicine” and whose oath all physicians take, is known to have discussed the phenomenon saying, “the affliction suffered by the body, the soul sees quite well with the eyes shut.”

Benefits of Hypnosis & Self Awareness

The dedication made towards improving self-observation and cultivating self-awareness is the most important realization for directing the energy required for clearing the subconscious and opening potentials for inner transformation.

Without personal attention being directed towards the deeper wisdom within we can remain trapped in the cluttered and undisciplined mind that stunts emotional and spiritual growth.

Hypnosis helps you to tune into the power of your inner wisdom while becoming self-aware of subconscious mind habituated programs and patterns that are operating and perhaps limiting you within your life expression.

The Conscious & Subconscious Mind

Your conscious mind manages your “rules” and “logic” while your subconscious mind stores long-term memory, memories of trauma (emotional or physical), repressed memories, belief systems, patterns, habits, desires, core beliefs and emotions that can trigger behavior at the conscious level.

It is your subconscious mind that influences the conscious mind without your awareness. Hypnosis is a very efficient approach that can provide many significant changes in clearing unwanted behaviors and beliefs that no longer serve you.

Through hypnosis we are cultivating your inner life. Creating balance and harmony within, while being freed from limiting subconscious mind programs affecting your life. Through this process we become empowered and in alignment with our personal life goals and higher soul potentials.
