I often share with others in my session work the importance of caring for our bodies through good nutrition. At this time of accelerated change upon our planet it becomes even more important to support our bodies by cultivating health and wellbeing. Daily exercise and movement, meditation, mindfulness, practicing gratitude and patience while expressing kindness towards others is also essential.
Understanding that food is medicine can help adjust the habitual patterns and behaviors centered around our food choices. Taking the time to learn about nutrition and what works best for yourself is important and empowering. We are living in a time where obesity, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, cancer, anxiety, and depression have exploded. No longer are these patterns of dis-ease associated with aging as our youth of today are also heavily affected.
I wanted to share with you my daily dose of nutrition that I have incorporated into my life over the past 3 years. This addition has enhanced my sense of well-being while offering support for my thyroid function, nervous system, skin, hair, digestion, clarity, focus, energy levels and so much more. While I realize each of us are unique having different nutritional needs and preferences based upon many factors, I learned there is a simple and inexpensive herb that offers many people an opportunity to shift the way they feel: celery.
I start most mornings with 32 ounces of fresh, organic celery juice on an empty stomach. Initially I began with 6 ounces to minimize any detoxification symptoms and slowly worked my way towards drinking 32 ounces of this pure vibrant nutrition. It is amazing how a simple daily practice and a powerful medicinal herb called celery can transform our health and well-being.
I first discovered the use of celery as a tonic for healing in a book published in 1988 by Dr. Bernard Jensen titled “Foods That Heal”. The book guides you to an understanding and incorporation of the healing power of natural and whole foods. I applied many of his suggestions during a time in my 20’s when I was recovering from surgery and radiation procedures. According to Dr. Jensen celery is known as a sodium food, and sodium is what is known as the youth maintainer of the body and helps with inflammation and other chronic conditions.
Fast forward to 2020 with Anthony William, the Medical Medium. In his recent book titled “Celery Juice, the Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time”, Anthony indicates that celery starves pathogens as it contains a multitude of undiscovered sodium clustered mineral salts. When these sodium cluster salts, come into contact with viruses such as Epstein Barr, HHV-6, Shingles, and bacteria such as Streptococcus as well as other pathogens responsible for chronic illness, these cluster salts begin to break down the pathogens cell membranes. This process eventually results in a flushing out of toxins, dead pathogens and pathogenic neurotoxins and debris from the body assisting in healing.
